PK studios is owned by Paddy Kingsland and in the early years was used only for music recording sessions. Now the studio is equipped for Radio and TV sound production work, with an additional control room and updated facilities.

Paddy's writing career began at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, composing scores for all kinds of Radio and TV productions. After leaving the BBC he set up his own sound studio specialising in electronic music production.

Early credits include Dr Who (29 episodes) and music and sound effects for The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, both Radio and TV versions. He has written music for many TV documentaries including The World About Us, The War in Korea, Lights Camera Action!, The Making of Trials of Life, Pole to Pole, The Great Sell off, The Yellow River, The Road to War, The Power and the Glory, Legendary Trails, Island Race, Predators with Gabby Roslyn, Big Cats, Cuddly Sharks, The New Jerusalem, etc. His music for Michael Palin’s Around The World in 80 Days received a Bafta nomination.

His work for Childrens TV includes Watch, The Changes, Storytime, Words & Pictures, Rat a Tat Tat, The Number Crew and The Word Machine.

He is currently writing “Blips” for Ragdoll Productions / CITV.

Music for corporate videos includes British Aerospace, BP, and RAC.

Commercials; Ikea, Andrex, Banks Bitter.

Matthew Kingsland
 
     
  Matthew has worked at PK Studios since 1998. He is experienced in foley, track laying and editing thanks to several long running cartoon series. He is now recording and mixing for broadcast TV, corporate videos and commercials.
